Me and my whole family have been coming here since I was a little girl to camp, swim and fish and now I bring my own children. If you want to teach your children what life is like with out all the technology and teach them how to enjoy nature this is a perfect place for that a nice peaceful place to get away and relax . Although we miss the old owners for their hospitality and kindness, the new owners are very nice as well I think the only complaint I would have is they don't stay true to their store hours .

Motel was full of spider webs. We had no hot water the entire weekend. No cellphone signal. Our friend had a fridge in his room and it went out and ruined all the meat we had bought. No heat or air. The location is nice, but this motel is one step above a tent. It's a great place for outdoorsman, but don't expect much else.
We stayed there a few months ago and absolutely loved it!!! No, its not a 5 star hotel but it had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Will definitely stay there again...and hopefully very soon! Everyone that worked there was very nice and accommodating.
Stayed here for the eclipse and it is great. Like some other people have said the area including the rooms have a lot of spider webs. The furniture is starting to show its age and the place is pretty dated. The lack of any electrical connection to the outside world besides the pay phone at the store is definitely hard to deal with in this day and age but the amount of things you can do in the area and even behind the rooms is an easy use of time. The sound of the river are the best sounds you can ever sleep to or just sit by for hours. Definitely a drive to get to and it has it's drawbacks but definitely somewhere I could stay again.
