Beautiful waterfall! The area was busy but not very crowded. We hiked part of the Bald River Falls trail which originates at the end of the parking area. It stays close to the river and there are lovely views as you progress up the mountain.

Easily accessible and very beautiful waterfall. Swimming Pond below as well as one up top near the edge if you're up for moderate rock climbing up the right side. Follow the moderately difficult path on the left side to a nice little picnic area at the rear of the falls. While you're there follow the Cherohala Parkway towards North Carolina, a favorite with bikers, for some great Ridgetop views, but beware as it can be very desolate after sundown...VERY!
A beautiful and easily accessible waterfall just inside the Cherokee National Forest. There is plenty of room for people to picnic, swim, and enjoy the scenery. There is a nice hiking trail as well. A bit "touristy", but still a nice pla ace to visit. The parking is limited, so be prepared to walk.
