We went there a Friday for dinner I took the 6 wings with potatoes (wings were ok potatoes were cold and swimming in grease) my husband took had a gyro. The pita bread was old and taste bad and the meat had nothing to do with a gyro. We had also 2 ciders. The bill with tip was $38. This place is so over priced it was served on paper plates and plastic silverware. I could have a nice dinner with reel food at Tellico Cafe.
Good service e. Their food could be better
After a long day of exploring on the Skyway we were getting hungry so decided to return to Tellico for some food. Arriving in town, the first two options were a gas station and Buckets and Brews. In our infinite wisdom, it seemed a better option to choose the food source that appeared to be an actual restaurant. Boy, were we mistaken. All I can say is ROTTEN FLESH DECREPIT FOOT WINGS!! We both ordered the "chicken wings" thinking that was a safe bet. They arrived in a pleasingly fast manner, but soon the stench of the foot wings permeated not only our outdoor dining area but probably the acceptable food from the gas station next door. My girlfriend and I both were hesitant to take the first bite or to mention the odoriferous experience that we both were a part of, fearing the other had expelled the worst fart of their life. Once we realized the smell was coming from our $12 wings, and not the dumpsters nearby, it was all we could do to stomach a bite. The quality of the wing in our mouths matched the hair-singing traits exhibited by the wings when they had been "freshly" placed on our table. Apparently, this establishment ages their wing meat so the diner has the experience of eating a hyena's butthole. No small wonder upon paying for the check they didn't ask us, "how was your meal?"
P.S. If you like the smell of rotten meat on your hands for hours after washing them with scalding water and soap, then Buckets and Brews should be your go-to destination.
Great people. The Gumbo was excellent.
Only place opened in town on a Sunday afternoon. I had the burger, it was very good. Others had the sloppy joe special, not the best but like someone posted earlier, you aren't there for the cuisine, it's something after a long day sightseeing. Salad bar was iffy but ok enough. I would stop there again if ever in that area. The owners/servers were extremely friendly, made sure everything was good.
